For the beloved La Măruță show, Sfera Plastic Design created a modern and welcoming set design, designed to reflect the energy and dynamism of the show. With a versatile design, warm colors, and contemporary elements, the set provides a friendly and captivating setting for both guests and viewers. Smart lighting and carefully finished details complete the relaxed and interactive atmosphere of the show.

How the set for the show “La Măruță” was built – behind the scenes, on screen

Behind every successful TV show is a well-thought-out and perfectly executed set. One of the projects that kept us busy and delighted us at the same time was the construction of the set for the show “La Măruță,” broadcast by Pro TV. Sfera Plastic Design was responsible for the complete execution of the set, based on the scenographic project provided by the production team.

The challenge
"La Măruță" is a daily show, filmed live, with a dynamic pace. The set had to be:
- versatile, to accommodate multiple types of content (interviews, artistic moments, live interventions)
- visually appealing, but clearly defined by areas
- easy to maintain and adaptable over time, without major reconstructions
- correctly lit and filmable from multiple angles
Decoration execution
We started from the detailed plan provided by the set designer, based on which we established the structure, division into modules, and technical assembly solutions.
Materials used
- Wood and MDF for the main structure
- Metal elements for stability and support
- Matte and glossy finishes, depending on the decor area
- Custom decorative elements (shelves, graphic panels, special furniture)
Stages
1. Workshop processing – all elements were made modular for easy transport and assembly
2. Detailed finishes – painting, special effects, integration with graphic elements
3. Assembly on the Pro TV set – we worked against the clock, in direct collaboration with the station's technical team
The result
The final set design is coherent, warm, and functional, supporting the show's visual identity and creating a familiar setting for the audience. The areas are well defined, with a visual flow designed specifically for studio cameras.
The show "La Măruță" now benefits from a set that can be used daily, year after year, with minimal intervention but with a strong visual impact.
What we learned

Each show has its own particularities, and at "La Măruță" I understood how important adaptability is: a television set must be aesthetically pleasing, but also technically functional, regardless of the pace of production.
